Why do we eat food?

Just like any vehicle needs the fuel to run, our body needs the food to get energy. The food that we eat provides us the essential nutrients like protein, fats, carbohydrates, water and minerals which helps us in being energetic and living a healthy life.

What should you eat for better health?

We should always try to eat a well Balanced Diet. Balanced Diet is a diet which provides us all the nutrients required by our body in right proportion for proper functioning of our body parts.

Foods to Avoid in your Diet:

  • Packaged Foods like Biscuits, Chips, Namkeens

  • Bakery Items including Toast/ Khari, Cakes, Pastries

  • Frozen Food Items (Try to completely eliminate from your diet)

  • Packed Drinks including Fruit Juices/ Energy Drinks (Try to completely eliminate from your diet)

  • Try to eliminate Alcohol and Smoking

  • Burgers/ Pizzas/ Fast Food Items including Samosas/ Vada Pav etc

  • Processed Foods including Meats/ Cheese etc

  • Caffeine Drinks

When to Eat Food? What is the right time to eat our meals?

  • Breakfast: Within 1 hour of waking up, should be before 10AM, should be protein rich

  • Mid-Morning: Around 11 AM, have a glass of Lemon Water/ Coconut Water etc

  • Lunch: Ideal time between 12.30 to 1.30 PM

  • Evening Snack: Around 4 PM, you can have sprouts, fruits, salad etc

  • Dinner: Before 7.30 PM, there should be at least 2-3 hours of gap between dinner and bed time

  • Bedtime: Glass of Turmeric Milk (Optional)
