The human brain is awesome, it functions 24 hours a day from the day you born.
Exams are around the corner and parents wants good scores for their kids. You all probably have a pretty good idea about studying, course work, practice, revision etc. Do you know healthy eating is equally important with good academic preparation, overall health and balanced diet are most important to nourish your brain and body.
Healthy food gives us energy to think, work and play. Brain is constantly running machine that needs fuel, the main source of fuel is glucose and nutrients like flavonoids, omega 3 fatty acids, Water Vitamin B6 and vitamin B12. Poor fueling can result in poor performance.
Right Nutrition + Right Exercise = Good score
Here are some tips for healthy brain.
Hydrate your body and brain-
Drinking water improve your grades. Dehydration reduces concentration and kids feel tired so make sure during exam days drink at least 8-10 glasses of water, it can be in the form of coconut water, juices , and buttermilk.
Frequent eating -
Brain constantly requires energy, your child must eat frequently at least in every 3 hours, give them healthy nutritious snacks like fruits, nuts, seeds, juices, smoothies etc. in between 3 main meals.
Sleep should be 7-8 hrs.-
7-8 hours’ sleep every night. This will allow kid’s brain to fully function the next day, their concentration levels will remain high and they will have more energy throughout the day. Also Make sure that kids also take a nap for around 30 minutes which will keep their brain active.
